System Integration Engineer – VIO

Job Description

Job Title: System Integration Engineer – VIO. Location: Delft, Netherlands

Job Type: Full-time, on-site (hybrid flexibility possible)

Responsibilities:

• Act as the technical bridge between customers, internal engineering teams, and suppliers
• Translate complex system requirements into clear interface specifications
• Own the full VIO integration lifecycle from planning to deployment
• Support integration of qubit chiplets into scalable quantum modules;
• Develop system models for large-scale quantum computing architectures
• Collaborate with partners to qualify and source compatible components;
• Identify and resolve integration bottlenecks across hardware and system layers
• Improve integration frameworks to support multiple deployments in parallel

Qualifications:

• Strong technical background in RF/microwave engineering in semiconductor systems
• Experience with cryogenic or advanced semiconductor packaging (preferred)
• Experience in systems engineering and hardware interface definition;
• Ability to design and conceptualize complex hardware systems at scale
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional technical collaboration

Preferred:

• Experience working with superconducting quantum systems
• Knowledge of cryogenic environments and low-temperature physics
• Experience integrating complex hardware systems across multiple stakeholders
• Familiarity with large-scale quantum processor architectures
