Technical Program Manager - Applications

Job Description

Job Title: Staff Technical Program Manager - Applications. Location: Göteborg, Västra Götaland, Sweden or Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of quantum applications in healthcare and life sciences on quantum computers
• Manage complex projects from initiation to completion, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables
• Transition R&D innovations into commercial products and define success metrics;
• Work with scientists, product managers, and partners to build hybrid quantum-classical solutions
• Conduct risk analysis and implement mitigation strategies for successful delivery
• Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment
• Maintain operational rigor and improve processes without slowing innovation
• Collaborate with legal, finance, and sales teams for proposals and compliance
• Support development of technology and product roadmaps;
• Oversee quality control practices such as CI/CD, version control, and testing
• Travel as needed and support global collaboration across time zones

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or related field
• Experience delivering complex projects with strong R&D components
• Experience working with clients on advanced computational or modeling solutions
• Familiarity with project management tools like GitHub, Jira, or Smartsheet
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
• Ability to manage fast-paced environments with attention to detail

Preferred:

• Master’s or PhD in a relevant technical field
• Knowledge of quantum computing, quantum circuits, and software tools like Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane
• Experience with cloud or high-performance computing systems;
• Experience converting research prototypes into commercial products
• Domain expertise in healthcare and life sciences
