NPI Materials Program Manager

Job Description

Job Title: Senior NPI Materials Program Manager. Location: Milpitas, California, USA

The work supports pre-alpha through beta stages and includes cost negotiation, supply chain planning, and coordination across technical teams; Experience with cryogenic systems, electro-optical assemblies, or semiconductor manufacturing is valuable.

Duties:

• Negotiate pricing, delivery, and contract terms with suppliers to support engineering builds.
• Manage New Product Introduction materials planning across pre-alpha, alpha, pre-beta, and beta build stages.
• Identify, screen, and onboard new suppliers in partnership with engineering teams;
• Track shortages, lead times, and delivery schedules to ensure project milestones are met;
• Oversee and project manage materials for specific engineering builds from planning to release.
• Evaluate when builds should be completed internally or outsourced to qualified suppliers.
• Support cost-reduction work and maintain accurate build status tracking.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field.
• Ten years of supply chain experience in a technology-driven company or fifteen years total supply chain experience.
• At least five years of experience supporting New Product Introduction;
• Experience managing suppliers and making trade-off decisions for technical sourcing.
• Proven success helping scale small or developing supply chains.
• Strong contract negotiation background.
• Skilled in project management and problem solving;
• Experience with cryogenics, electro-optical assemblies, or semiconductor wafer manufacturing is a plus.

Benefits and Instructions:

• U.S. base pay range: 130,000 to 145,000 USD.
• Bay Area pay range: 155,000 to 170,000 USD.
