Job Description
Job Title: VP, Marketing. Location: British Columbia, Canada (Hybrid)
Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall marketing strategy and define the company’s go-to-market approach as the quantum technology category evolves.
- Work closely with executive leadership, product teams, and research teams to align messaging, positioning, segmentation, and marketing channels with business objectives;
- Build and maintain strong brand positioning that differentiates the company within the quantum computing industry.
- Establish clear brand architecture, visual identity standards, and messaging guidelines while ensuring a consistent voice across all channels.
- Develop systems to measure brand awareness, perception, and long-term brand health.
- Build a scalable thought leadership program including keynotes, op-eds, technical explainers, and ecosystem content that educates the market while maintaining scientific credibility;
- Lead communications strategy across executive communications, media relations, analyst engagement, and content distribution.
- Create a strong content strategy that includes web, social media, video, and technical explainers to drive awareness and engagement.
- Translate complex technical developments and product roadmap updates into clear value propositions for customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Support go-to-market enablement for internal sales teams and external ecosystem partners.
- Develop and execute an events and sponsorship strategy including conferences, industry forums, and strategic partnerships that strengthen the company’s presence in the global quantum ecosystem;
- Lead and grow a high-impact marketing team while establishing strong operating rhythms such as quarterly planning, performance reviews, and success metrics.
- Manage marketing budgets with clear measurement of outcomes and return on investment.
Qualifications:
- At least 12 years of experience in B2B marketing within deep technology, enterprise technology, or similar high-growth environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent experience is preferred;
- Proven ability to shape new markets, build category awareness, and influence industry direction.
- Experience building and leading high-performing marketing teams during rapid company growth.
- Strong executive communication skills and ability to influence board members, investors, policy makers, and senior leadership.
- Familiarity with quantum technology, photonics, high performance computing, semiconductors, or related deep technology ecosystems is considered a strong advantage.
